On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Ulana Me ka Lokomaika`i will demonstrate the cultural art of lauhala plaiting, popularly referred to as lauhala weaving. If you are in the neighborhood, or want to learn more about traditional arts, visit the Palace Barracks to talk with these artisans and get a glimpse into the perpetuation of this Hawaiian craft.

The Palace is open one day monthly for kama`aina to tour free on a first-come, first-served basis. It usually occurs on the second Sunday of the month unless noted.
