Travel with your docent to the 19th century from completion of ‘Iolani Palace in 1882 to the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893. Learn through story about the furnishings and Royal residents as you are led through the first floor state rooms and second floor private quarters. The tour ends in the basement, where you will be free to view the gallery exhibits on your own.
Reservations are highly recommended. Tours enter the Palace every 15 minutes. Please contact the ticket office to secure a tour time. Japanese language tours are given at 11:30am Tuesday-Saturday. Guided tours in Mandarin Chinese or American Sign Language can be pre-arranged.
