Once a month, usually on the second Sunday of the month (but subject to change), we offer complimentary tickets to kama`aina guests. Both the Palace Galleries and docent-guided tours of the first and second floors are free of charge for Hawai`i residents. Palace guided tours are offered every 15 minutes between the hours of 9:00am - 2:00pm. Audio tours are offered every 10 minutes from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis, and the ticket office closes at promptly 3:30 pm.

We take reservation for groups of 10 or more, tour times offered from 1:00pm, 1:15pm, 1:30pm, 1:45pm and 2:00pm.

* A Hawai`i state ID, Hawai`i driver's license, or Active Military Identification in conjunction with proof of Hawai'i residency (ie: a utility bill) is required to receive free tickets.

* Malihini (visitors) may purchase tickets at the regular price.

The Palace Shop will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Kama`aina Sundays. The Shop carries books and gifts relating to `Iolani Palace, the Hawaiian Monarchy, and Hawaiian history & heritage.

The Friends of `Iolani Palace provides informational brochures in Standard Chinese, French, German, Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish as well as English.

wheelchair symbol Wheelchair access to `Iolani Palace and The Palace Galleries is available. Please advise cashier of any special requirements when buying tickets. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter can be arranged for groups/individuals who are hearing-impaired with proper notice.

*Motorized scooters and electric wheelchairs are not permitted in the Palace or the basement galleries. A standard wheelchair is proveded free of charge for our visitors who require such assistance.
