Kamaaina Sundays

On the first Sunday of every month we offer complimentary tickets to our kama`aina guests. Both the Palace Galleries and docent-guided tours of the first and second floors are free of charge for Hawai`i residents. Palace guided tours are offered every 15 minutes between the hours of 9:00am - 2:00pm. Tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

We take reservation for groups of 10 or more, tour times offered from 1:00pm, 1:15pm, 1:30pm, 1:45pm and 2:00pm.

* A Hawai`i state ID or Hawai`i driver's license is required to receive the free tickets.
* Malihini may purchase tickets at the regular price.

The Palace Shop will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Kama`aina Sunday. The Shop carries books and gifts relating to `Iolani Palace, the Hawaiian Monarchy, and Hawaiian history and heritage.

The Friends of `Iolani Palace provides informational brochures in Standard Chinese, French, German, Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish as well as English.

Kama`aina Sunday is normally held on the first Sunday of the month, but please check ahead because it can be scheduled otherwise.

Tours with signing can be arranged for groups of hearing-impaired visitors. Signing is also available for individuals with advance notice.
